.NAME Domain Names

Set up in 2001, the .NAME TLD is the sole TLD intended for personal sites only. These domain names can be personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other labels people are known by. At the beginning, just third-level registrations were permitted, so if you desired to obtain john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already registered third-level domain names remained running.

Through our company, you can order your dot NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will be able to correct the WHOIS contact info, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already registered domain to our firm if you acquire its EPP transfer authorization key from the current domain provider and we will renew it when the transfer has been done. There are no special regulations on who can acquire a .NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the goal behind its establishment alive, the Registry organization may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.

The dot NAME universal top-level extension is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no extra cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or region with the correct spelling in your native language.
